Who is this product for?
Muay Thai, kickboxing and MMA - any training that involves kicking or checking kicks. The shin has very little soft tissue over the bone, which is why most gyms require guards for kick sparring.
Requirements for protective equipment are set by your gym, coach or competition organiser. Confirm what is required before relying on any product for a specific type of session.
Materials and construction
A single-piece guard covering the shin and the instep, held by rear straps, with three separate design areas: the main pad, the foot and instep section, and the straps.
Padding material and thickness, shell material and strap type have not been published for this product. If protection level matters for your training, confirm with the team before ordering.
Available sizes
XS to XXL. Shinguard sizing depends on height and calf circumference more than on the size you wear in clothing.
A correctly sized guard covers from just below the knee to the top of the foot, with the instep section flat over the foot and no gap at the ankle. Straps should be tight enough that the guard does not rotate around the leg when you check a kick.
No measurement chart has been published for this product yet. Send your height and calf circumference to the team before ordering and they will confirm the size.
Customization options
- Colour: main pad, foot and instep, and straps, set separately.
- Finish: normal, matte or metallic, chosen per zone.
- Text: front shin plate.
- Images: PNG or JPG up to 5 MB on the front shin plate.
The front shin plate is the only surface on a shinguard where a name or logo is visible in motion, which is why it is the printable area. Symbols are not offered on this product; text and uploaded images are.
A contrasting strap colour is the simplest way to make a plain guard read as part of a kit.
How to choose the right option
- Measure your height and the circumference of your calf at its widest point.
- Send both to the team to confirm the size before ordering.
- Check what your gym requires for kick sparring.
- Keep artwork on the shin plate simple - it is a small, curved surface.
- Check the design in the 3D preview before adding to cart.
Care instructions
Wipe both sides after every session, especially the inner face that sits against the skin, and air-dry them fully out of your bag.
Never machine-wash padded protective equipment. Water in the padding takes days to leave and can break down the internal construction.
Specific detergents, sprays and cleaning products have not been confirmed as safe for this product. Check with the team before using anything beyond a cold wash.
Production and delivery
Nothing is held in stock. Each pair is cut, printed and assembled to the design you submit, and production begins once your order is confirmed. The design and size can be changed within 24 hours of ordering; after that, production has started and the specification is locked.
KCG Boxing ships internationally. Delivery cost and time depend on the destination. Customs duties and import taxes on international orders are the customer's responsibility unless stated otherwise.

Frequently asked questions
How should shinguards fit?
Tight enough not to rotate. The pad should cover from just below the knee to the top of the foot, with the instep section flat over the foot and no gap at the ankle.
A guard that slides down mid-round is too large, however it felt standing still.
Do I need shinguards for Muay Thai or kickboxing?
For any sparring that involves kicks, yes, and most gyms require them. The shin has very little tissue over the bone, so unprotected contact interrupts training for weeks rather than days.
Confirm what your gym requires - protective equipment rules are set by the club and the coach.
Can shinguards be customized?
Yes. The main pad, the foot and instep section and the straps each take their own colour and finish, and the front shin plate accepts text or an uploaded image.
