Who is this product for?

Muay Thai, kickboxing and anyone who kicks. The short, wide cut is functional rather than stylistic: knees, teeps and high kicks all need the leg to travel without the hem catching.

If you box and never kick, the longer boxing cut is more comfortable. If you grapple, the close MMA cut has nothing loose to grab.

Materials and construction

Seven panels are produced as separate design areas, including the hem trim, the side stripes and the front name patch.

Fabric composition, fabric weight and waistband construction have not been published for this product. Traditional Muay Thai shorts are made in a range of fabrics, so contact the team rather than assuming.

Available sizes

XS to XXL. These shorts sit on the natural waist rather than the hip, so use your waist measurement in centimetres.

Shorts measurements
SizeWaist (relaxed)Waist (stretched)LengthLeg opening
S70 cm90 cm40 cm30 cm
M75 cm95 cm42 cm32 cm
L80 cm100 cm44 cm34 cm
XL85 cm105 cm46 cm36 cm
XXL90 cm110 cm48 cm-

Match your waist measurement to the relaxed figure; the stretched figure is how far the waistband gives, not a size to aim for. XS is available to order but has no published measurements yet - contact the team for them.

Between two sizes, take the larger one. A tight waistband sits badly on a short cut this wide.

Customization options

These are the only shorts in the range with a dedicated front name patch as its own design zone - the traditional Muay Thai placement for a fighter or gym name. The patch takes its own colour and its own text, separately from the rest of the short.

  • Colour: main body, front panel, back panel, waistband, hem trim, side stripes and name patch, set separately.
  • Finish: normal, matte or metallic, chosen per zone.
  • Text: front, back or the name patch.
  • Images: PNG or JPG up to 5 MB on any printable area.
  • Symbols: a built-in library, positioned and scaled where you want.

Colour and text are included in the product price; uploaded images, symbols and matte or metallic finishes are add-ons.

How to choose the right option

  1. Measure your waist at its narrowest point above the hip bone.
  2. Match it to the relaxed waist figure and round up between sizes.
  3. Choose a bold body colour, then contrast the hem trim and side stripes.
  4. Keep the name on the patch short so it stays readable at a distance.
  5. Read the spelling back before adding to cart - a typo cannot be corrected later.

The size is fixed at checkout and the shorts are cut after you order. Changes are possible within 24 hours of ordering.

Care instructions

Wash cold, inside out, with no fabric softener. No tumble dryer, and no iron on the printed areas or the name patch.

Specific detergents, sprays and cleaning products have not been confirmed as safe for this product. Check with the team before using anything beyond a cold wash.

Production and delivery

Nothing is held in stock. Each pair is cut, printed and assembled to the design you submit, and production begins once your order is confirmed. The design and size can be changed within 24 hours of ordering; after that, production has started and the specification is locked.

KCG Boxing ships internationally. Delivery cost and time depend on the destination. Customs duties and import taxes on international orders are the customer's responsibility unless stated otherwise.

Frequently asked questions

Why are Muay Thai shorts so short and wide?

So the knee can travel all the way up without the hem catching. Muay Thai runs on knees, teeps and high kicks, and a longer or narrower short physically limits the leg.

The wide leg opening does the same job on roundhouse kicks. It is a functional cut, not a stylistic one.

Can I put my name on the front?

Yes. These shorts have a dedicated front name patch as a separate design zone, which is the traditional placement for a fighter or gym name.

The patch can be a contrasting colour with its own text, and the front and back panels are printable as well.

Can I order matching shorts for a whole gym?

Yes. One shared design can be produced across a range of sizes, often with each fighter’s own name on their patch.

Send the product, quantities and sizes to the team and they will confirm pricing and timing.
